I'm playing in the cafeteria of a NH. It's a far cry from " high end" but I am grateful to be working... Happy 4th of July!

A pair of NH jobs, then a private party the next day at a marina.

Day starts at the turning point for the 10K run, at 7:00 AM. Use a couple of little Pignose battery operated units.

At noon, I'm on a float (a farm trailer, pulled with an old tractor) with a bunch of my buds in a group called the Houn' DAWGS. Do this with this group for every city parade...Mother's Day, St. Patricks Day, etc.

The beer is flowing (I don't drink), the generator is as loud as we are and people fall off all the time. IT'S FUN!

About 2 to 4, I play piano in the "ready" room in a downtown hotel for the city. They run the parade and other activities from here.

At 5:30, I'm at the club I always play on holidays. It's affiliated with the local University.

At 8, across town for my regular country club job.

At 1:00 AM, off to a session for a national Italian fast food chain. Hopefully, we'll wrap up about 7:00 AM.

That's 6 jobs; most city related. I'll play guitar, Uke, banjo, piano, upright, organ and synth...not an arranger on the schedule that day.

Man, have I been lucky. If good people are involved, I never turn down a gig, and usually never ask what the pay is.

I'll keep it up as long as I can!
