Thank you Dan for all your efforts.
But before you go down the whole routine, I guess what folks are above all interested in is guitars , brass and trumpet sounds. I must confess that so far I have not been too impressed by what I have heard but then again that is very personal and of course we owe you for doing all this demo-ing for us.

John, please don't assume what people are 'above all' interested in. Personally, I could care less what the trumpets sound like! But a first class piano is the backbone of any keyboard. It is what we learn on (mostly), and probably the instrument we know what it SHOULD sound and play like the best. Then many of us learn on organs or accordions... So all of those HAVE to be as good as possible.

How many trumpet players here? LOL

Me, I'm probably most interested in whether the drums and bass are top notch. Without those nailing the rhythm section, what's the POINT of good brass or trumpet sounds (or anything else, basically!)?

Every one and his interest That's why I will do them ALL !
Some SD1000 sounds are amazing and I imagine that they will sound very good in a production or in a style.
Some other are... not so good... next...

The drums are very interessting too. Diki, be patient

On the other hand, I love a first class trumpet sound, go nuts over great guitar sounds, and I'm really picky about some of the strings sounds, but I can always live with a mediocre piano if I have to. Different folks - different strokes!

I think the guitar sounds sound very good. Accordions sound very good as well. There is so much competition out there and they all sound so great. I haven't seen any retailers having the Ketron SD-1000 in stock yet. Has anyone heard about a price yet? How did Dan.2000 get one to demo?

I think that the issue is a generational one. In fairness, I can't remember the last hit that had a trumpet solo on it. You've pretty much got to go back to maybe Herb Alpert before you can remember a trumpet player having anything to do with modern music. Maybe 'Rise' was about the last thing it had any great importance on.

Piano, though... plenty of those still on the charts!
