Tony, in this part of the world, back in the 1950s, which is when all the recreational centers were in full swing, the guys that danced were the guys that were most popular with the gals. You can bet your butt that this 16-year-old kid learned to dance long before I went to the first rec-center dance. And, back then we had live bands, mostly high-school kids who played whatever was popular at the time. I had a beat to Hell 6-string guitar and sang my heart out for those young ladies. I can still vividly remember singing In The Still Of The Night, which was recorded a year or two earlier by the Five Satins, and seeing that gymnasium dance floor fill to capacity. Those were some memorable times. Cheers, Gary

Believe me, being 15 to 16 years of age and on stage with a guitar in your hand and singing was, as Tony can attest, was the greatest chick magnet ever! Cheers, Gary
