The Audya 5 @ #10 doesn't count?

Very interesting the Yamaha T4 still holds top place and the Audya same price as the T4 rated at 17, people still buying T4 after all these years, I can feel a 5 coming anytime soon, then the forum will come alive again. http://www.thomann.de/gb/prod_vrank~ncx.html?ar=207544 Interesting as the other big retailer in Europe (Music Store) has the Korg and Audya on its top seller list but not the Tyros 4. List here In other news for those that don’t keep abreast of the Music side of things, (Arrangers are a miniscule part of the musical instrument market) DV247 is now owned by Music Store. (Yes, another British retailer is now in foreign hands) Bill

Thanks Tony and Billy...it's much the same here in Atlantic Canada with the Tyros4 still selling very well, even though a Tyros5 is due soon. In fact, I helped a guy last week with his new Tyros4.
I was told Tyros4 sold better than Tyros, Tyros2 and Tyros3 put together which is, as Henni always says, "AWESOME".
The province that allegedly sells the most arrangers is Quebec. Strange, but they also lead the way in white grand pianos.

Not listed on their website. They sell Roland synths, though. But apparently, only the Juno Gi.
Look under 'Entertainer' keyboards, where the other arrangers are... no Roland's at all The Roland arrangers are in the Home Keyboard section, not the Entertainer Keyboard section, which is probably why they are not in the list. Bill

The Audya 5 @ #10 doesn't count? Why Bernie I just wondered why you mentioned Audya at #17, while Audya 5 is at #10. No big deal. as my Audya is worth more to me than any of them.

Best sellers here, at least to pros, and although we did sell quite a few Tyros models, were always the MOTL models, such as the S900, S910 and now S950 (and S750). It wasn't just keyboard players per se, but quite a number of vocalist/guitarists (solo acts) bought them as SMF players, whether it be commercial files, or songs recorded by themselves.
I have often been hired to record specific midi files that may have been popular local tunes or newer songs where commercial files weren't available.
I've also done private clinics to help the unfamiliar with how to operate or use for recording.
No one in the area uses a standalone midi file player/module because the PSR keyboards are relatively light, fairly small, and easily transported.
So it's not exclusively "keyboard" players that drive up the sales numbers.

Of course, you have to weight the numbers to dollar volume for obvious reasons, anyway.
