Yamaha started chord sequencer (even the term) in late 80's PSR's ( psr 37 in this case) before Roland (1988 E20 did not have) and Korg (1993 I3) did not have. It's a shame that current MOTL/TOTL Yamaha arrangers do not have this feature.Yamaha started
and later both Korg (now) and Roland (since G's) have it.BTW,Most 80's FM arranger keyboards (all made in Japan)out last today's toys(built quality).

Who knows -CS in psr 960 or T5? Steve Demming , R u reading this?

And before the PSR37...Casio had the Casiotone 7000 (1985)...It featured a realtime Chord Channel...that worked....

I had a friend that used a Casiotone 7000 on the gig...playing a trombone after the first pass (record) on the keyboard..

C'mon Fran, if the Tyros 5 comes through with a chord sequencer you know you're not gonna buy one.

First report from showing in Spain: No touch screen, lots of audio styles, improved sound, 61 and 76-note models.

LOL... Where were all you guys when I was the lone voice baying at the moon all those years? cool2

I can't count the number of posts I read, saying they never used it, didn't need it, had no use for it, when no arranger offered one. Now, with two of the majors offering the feature, it's 'Me too!'...
