The T5 will not "have" a touchscreen , it "is " a touchscreen .
Without keys and buttons , everything is on the screen .
This is the message I got from a musician in Spain .
Easy to use for MP3 , WAV and Midifiles .

Obviously, the S950 was the first clue.

Including the keyboard? The Tyros 5 is just an ipad app then? ;-)

No touchscreen .

This is what appears at the link to PSR Tutorial. Thanks Impulse. Screen appears much the same as Tyros4 and is likely non-touch.

A few buttons moved around and sliders are still there, registration still on right hand side. Difficult to identify color of case due to lighting.

Could this be Yamaha's Tyros5 76 note?

Looks like the same ol', same ol'...

Once again, I repeat... the ONLY people who do not like touch screens on keyboards are those who have accepted that Yamaha do not want to give them one, and have never used a Korg or a Roland long enough to get used to it.

Most arrangers out there have roughly the same number of primary buttons for use while you are playing, but the touch screen allows FAR greater choices for other stuff on screen. Yamaha has a total of what, 18 things you can select from on screen tops, with most pages far under that number. Usually ten (the five side buttons from each side, for sound or style selection, right?).

Guys, I've used BOTH types of arrangers. There is simply no comparison. Wait until you use a good one, THEN tell me not having a touch screen is good, OK? LOL

Thing is Donny... the others have BOTH.

Everyone seems to paint this as an either/or scenario. No-one's coming to take your buttons and sliders away. The PA3X has tons of buttons and sliders. So does the G70/E80.

All they have is something EXTRA...

having both is fine also ...I just don't use the Ts if I have a choice...for me speedy navigation is essential IMO a TS doesn't offer that..but off stage or in studio editing with time it's ok to use for things,...with Tyros previous successes so far and sales a TS isn't gonna limit buyers at all now that a 76 & 61 version is offered.....get ready to see many players jump ship.
