Charley, if you don't have to move it, you'll love the 76 keys, I know I would! Rearranging music to fit on a 61 gets old; however all is forgotten when I lift my wonderful light 61-key board in and out of nursing homes (like Lifecare in Punta Gorda) smile

Graham, I've visited Charlie at his home in Punta Gorda and he has the most amazing collection of keyboards and organs on the planet. Nice guy, too. If that 76 is too bulky, he has loads of 61s that will do the job.

And never forget when you buy from Frank on the East Coast and George Kaye on the West Coast you are getting much more than a great deal. You are also getting their personal expertise and after market support on your arranger keyboard ... and that is priceless !!! Plus you can communicate directly with them on this forum. That is not true of other dealers. Most dealers including the major instrument outlets have no real knowledge of arranger keyboards. Frank and George know them intimately and can pass that knowledge on to you. So if you are in the USA don't think about buying from anyone else.

Thanks guys you are the best.

Let's just say my pre-orders are well above the so called big dealer in PA, and the reason is all of you forum people. Thanks again.

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these and see what it can do!!!!

The thought of going into into a major dealer's store and asking for indepth information on an arranger keyboard is laughable.

You will just be met with a blank stare. shocked rotfl

This shouldn't be the case when we are talking about a major purchase but unfortunately it is the reality. And getting help from them online or over the phone is never going to happen.

Nigel, the same holds true for most technical devices, vocal processors, mics, amps, etc... The big box stores tend to be staffed by high-school kids that have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time. I've encountered this a lot at GC. Fortunately, when I go into GC I know what I want well in advance and know the product to some degree by doing some research on the forums and the manufacturer's web site.

Cheers,

Gary cool

That's very true Gary. They have very little knowledge of most of the keyboards they sell. But occasionally you can get lucky and find someone that knows a little. But that never happens with arranger keyboards.

Don't forget... Roland have made a VERY good 76 that weighs in well under 21 lbs. They even had a 76 in the G/E series that had a full touch screen and speakers AND weighed less than a 61 Tyros (the E60).

It CAN be done.
