Yeah, I know. Every year I tell myself that I'm gonna slow down in December. This year, for the first time in two decades, I'm not booked every day of the month - I have five days off, and NO doubles - YEA! As usual, though, I have a job Christmas Day. Some people ask me why I work on Christmas Day? The reason is quite simple, I can bring some joy to the lives of people who have outlived their friends and relatives and would normally not be having much of a Christmas. We have lots of fun, they song along with most of the Christmas songs, and it's only a couple hours out of my day, but those few hours mean a lot to them and I'm happy to be with them on Christmas, albeit for a very brief time.

Cheers,

Gary cool

Mine too, Ian, although I may play "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "White Christmas" to end my gig Saturday night (Nov 30) ...
