No screen to boil with mine, but I change the cover every week, wipe the mic head with a soft cloth dampened with bleach water, and wash the foam cover with bleach water. Gary

I think it was Uncle Dave that first posted that he had looked beneath the mic screen and discovered an alien life form had taken up residence there. Until then, I never really thought about it because I was the only person using my mic. The wind screen on the Crown CM311A is about the only thing you can safely immerse, but you can wipe the top of the mic screen with bleach water or disinfectant and not damage the mic. Cheers, Gary
