Thanks for posting Gary, Torben is a great player and the T5 is in very capable hands. Would like to hear more tunes on the T5 by him.

There was a point that Diki tried to make on another thread...voicing is so critical to make this feature work the best...playing block chords just doesn't work..

Listen close..does it really sound realistic to you?
The same player using better chord voicing would be dramatically better.

Very nice, Gary...I'm familiar with some of Torben's other work. He's a joy to listen to.

The Ensemble feature wouldn't be something I would use, but it is still pretty slick nonetheless.

Kudos for Yamaha for adding it, as I'm sure some will find it very beneficial.

Very nice... sounds great.. But i missed some controlled vibrato on the strings..



This is one of those things that makes strings very authentic, and so hard to controll in real time on a keyboard..

Try a pitch strip instead of LFO or sampled vibrato...

It's amazing how this simple thing (only on the Korg PA3x so far) can radically increase the realism of vibrato. Make vibrato the way the PLAYER does... rock your finger from side to side. Start shallow and slow, build up to fast and wide (or the other way around, if you want!), glitch up or down to the pitch, a myriad of performance techniques can ONLY be done with the pitch strip.

Of course, tough to play the chords at the same time..!
