Along with the fact the cities are not experienced nor prepared to clear roads and keep power lines safe. I just measured the ice layer in my front yard at 6 1/1 inches!! That folks is a lot of Ice in any area of the country. Low temps can be managed and dealt with and are generally not problem when they occur here. Heavy Icing or snow is entirely different. I am aware in other parts of the country how winter happens - but in general they are prepared to deal with it. Deane

From many points of view it was one of the best holidays in my life and I sure am glad to have those memories. Banff (lovely place, but never seen so many mosquitos...) Lake Moraine (I still remember all the signs that warned about grizzly bears) _________________________ Korg Kronos 61 and PA3X-Pro76, Roland G-70, BK7-m and Integra 7, Casio PX-5S, Fender Stratocaster with Fralin pickups, Fender Stratocaster with Kinman pickups, vintage Gibson SG standard.
