Ian, I just got back from Shediac yesterday - dodged a bullet, eh? Not really. Edm is freezing rain and now 10cm of the white stuff is going to sit on top of that. Should be fun on the roads tomorrow.

Just recently bought a spanking new diesel motorhome so wifey and I will be heading south next week to Tampa, Sarasota, Marco Island, and Key West, then back up the east coast (of Florida) to visit friends in St Augustine and then home. It's 21F outside at the moment so can't wait. Never should have left Hawaii (or Florida).

trucks haven't even plowed the streets yet!! Grrrr!

You are being battered with one winter period after the other in North America, while we still haven't even had one inch of snow yet in the north-west of Germany. The ski-lift operators in the medium-range mountains nearby are beginning to worry about going bankrupt, I guess, it's too warm to produce artificial snow even in 2,600 feet altitude. I read about the hard and cold winter in some areas of the USA and elsewhere, but at snow level as low as in that picture, they don't bother plow at all here.

I'm really happy that all snow coming down here at the moment are "ready showelled", and that it is downhill from our house down to the fjord.
But, it's still only January, a couple of months to go until spring is here......

hahah...last night was 10" here but last year,? ....wellll,...look at the picture!!!

Have'nt seen the sun for weeks, if not months. Only a lot of wind and water pouring down, even if it is wintertime.
Well, at least the calendar say so....
