CDR Wont Write is
Proof the CDR. Next would be IRQ check. Makesure it's standalone IRQ not steered or shared. Un/Re-install software having all appropriate device resources in place.
If you STILL have a problem after that...whew. You may try asking the SWMfg. for techsupport in gaining memory area on your computer that the device is designed to best operate. I've not seen this condition for a while but it happens.
Usually by going thru the hardware and then the software specifics most devices will operate. I did get a dead CDROM once though.
