Tony, I've just returned from checking out the condition of the boat's winter cover, just to be on the safe side when more snow arrives. I've only had time for a couple sips of Kickapoo Joy Juice, so maybe some additional smiles as the evening wears on. Cheers, Gary

Tony, I've owned 16 boats since 1962, which is when I got married. Still have the same Dorris, though. This one will likely be the last, since I'm getting a bit too old to voyage more than a couple thousand miles single handed. That said, the oldest person to single hand sail around the globe was 77, and just this past year a 70-year-old lady made the voyage around all 5 capes in 325 days single handed, which is incredible. If I make the trip down the East Coast ICW to the Florida Keys in 2015, at age 75 I will be the oldest person to do that single handed. From what I've been able to determine, when I made the trip last winter at age 72, I was the second oldest person to do so. Don't count this old man out yet - I still have a couple things I want to do before I make room for someone else on the planet. Cheers, Gary

Gary,
I hope you achieve all you want to do, even at our age you need a goal, you can't just get up in a morning and wait from bedtime to come, unless you are still ?????? active, dreamer, hi sailor!!!
Nice story about the boats Gary, you certainly are to be envied, get the big spinnaker up and go for it Gary.
Tony
