Hi Guy's

I promised a song for you and here its. If I have offended anyone mentioned I apologise now.

https://app.box.com/s/czkbftyknv99d8jlwjhl

SZ Chorus.mp3

I have included a copy of the Lyric if you should wish to sing along.

This 'eres a little story about some Guy's I met
who share their music far and wide upon the internet
There's Don and Donny, Uncle Dave and Dear old Gary too
Tony, Fran and Dreamer, to name just but a few

Don Mason is a country man the best in all the nation
You really have to listen to His Guitar emulation
Donny from New Jersey where he gigs most every day
Changes his keyboard like his socks but boy can that guy play

Uncle Dave now there's a man his harmony oh wow
Manhatton Transfer stand aside, UD take a bow
Gary's voice is oh so deep but he has to stay in training
When he's not sailing on his boat he's out there entertaining

Now Tony Mads a super guy and what a voice he's got
He says his voice is very deep because he yells a lot
From England's green and pleasant land I've heard an ugly rumour
about Tony Hughs who we all know has a wicked sense of humour

Now there's Fran a Roland man once owned a media station
a new keyboard we've just heard is causing a sensation
From Italy we hear the sounds of a guy we know as dreamer
he's a handy lad to have about if you've got a broken femur

A guy who's been around block is known as Captain Russ
plays music for the superstars and never makes a fuss
a word about old Saswick who wrote this little song
he sings in tune but Donny says his harmony's all wrong

A point about young Hammer I'd like to draw to your at attention
Every year he shows us how its done at the Yamaha Convention
Now another guy that you all know, one of the chosen few
is Scotty Yee he's back again his fingers good as new

Now Ian's from Newfoundland its a cold place we all know
He plays a silver tyros 4 while knee deep in the snow
There's Adi, Mockie, Bernie to, so many names to mention
A good job I've got bags of time now I'm on the good old pension

I'm sure you all know very well that in every story told
there is a wicked villain who is left out in the cold
our story is no different though to name him is quite tricky
I'm sure you know the man I mean it is the evil Diki

Now Diki is misunderstood he really is a treasure
what he don't know about this game is difficult to measure
recently he shocked us all a new keyboard he acquired
after all these years you won't believe his G70 he's retired

I cannot end this little song without referring to our rock
I'm talking of our Nigel He's the Sheriff on the block
If you've been rude to all our anyone, take note of what he says
he'll swiftly bar you at a stoke until you mend your ways

I've just had a word with Nigel a new rule he's invoking
Post more songs to listen to and cut down on the talking
and as I end this little song and you haven't featured for us
slip a few quid in the post and I'll include you in the chorus

With the very best of intentions

Kind Regards

Col

Col,
I am more than flattered: this is the first time I am mentioned in a song, ever.
Believe it or not, this is a thing I will treasure for many years to come.
Thanks!

Thanks' a lot everybody, I had great fun writing it. It's surprising how many snippets of information you pick up on the forum, perhaps you all should be careful what you post, you never know what maybe coming next.

All the vey best

Brilliant, Col

That's the one thing I miss about England. You "blokes" out there are so funny and witty. You and Tony should team up as Hughes & Col (or Col & Hughes) and start doing the pubs!

Mark,

At least 50 pubs a week close down in the UK , if me and Colin teamed up it would be 100 a week, thanks for your thoughts all the same.

Hell Col your post went down two pages faster than the Wall Street Crash, I noticed neither Fran or Diki responded to having their names in a song, a first for me, perhaps they had their sense of humour surgically removed at birth or never had one to start with, or better still they weren't impressed with your copy of the all American Boy, Redneck heeee haaaa oh doggy

Happy New Year Col

Tony, I've just returned from checking out the condition of the boat's winter cover, just to be on the safe side when more snow arrives. I've only had time for a couple sips of Kickapoo Joy Juice, so maybe some additional smiles as the evening wears on. smile smile smile

Cheers,

Gary,

You take it easy old boy don't you go smashing too many windows with what's left of this year. Don't forget the two happiest people in the world, one selling a boat and one buying the boat.

Happy new year Gary

Tony, I've owned 16 boats since 1962, which is when I got married. Still have the same Dorris, though. This one will likely be the last, since I'm getting a bit too old to voyage more than a couple thousand miles single handed. That said, the oldest person to single hand sail around the globe was 77, and just this past year a 70-year-old lady made the voyage around all 5 capes in 325 days single handed, which is incredible. If I make the trip down the East Coast ICW to the Florida Keys in 2015, at age 75 I will be the oldest person to do that single handed. From what I've been able to determine, when I made the trip last winter at age 72, I was the second oldest person to do so. Don't count this old man out yet - I still have a couple things I want to do before I make room for someone else on the planet. wink

Cheers,

Gary cool

Gary,

I hope you achieve all you want to do, even at our age you need a goal, you can't just get up in a morning and wait from bedtime to come, unless you are still ?????? active, dreamer, hi sailor!!!

Nice story about the boats Gary, you certainly are to be envied, get the big spinnaker up and go for it Gary.

Tony I was never dissatisfied with my Audya. It seemed to get heavier as I got older though. I played it for two years plus, then had a chance to sell it at a profit. I had no problems with it at all, other than I didn't like the location of the pitch bend and modulation wheels.
However, that was not what I was referring to in the post above. smile
I am quite content with Pa3X. Not saying I won't look at whatever else comes along that might be better though, including a new Ketron of some sort.
BTW, you don't mention your preference in aftershave lotion in your signature.

Don,

If Ketron made an aftershave it would have to be Roland haa or Aramis strong stuff cover over the pong of an old man, I know you enjoyed the Audya I did too .

Happy New Year Don
