Hehe, when somebody call me to sell anything I tell them that they have to buy from me first.
Everything are at sale this week, I say, and since it's you who call, it's doubble of ordinary price!
Till now, they hang up very quicly and newer called again.

I am in too ... when I get a call that shows the caller ID is unavailable I don't answer ... if it is someone that REALLY wants to get in touch with me they will leave a message ...
When I get unsolicited e-mails I just use the 'opt out' or 'unsubscribe' option ...

I usually ask for their number so I can call them.But I am usually free after midnight.

I love the recorded call that says "Hi, this is Bob from the shipping department, and we just need you OK to ship your free medical emergency device out to you today." I always press one, wait for the telephone solicitor to get on the line and tell them to send me 35 of them. Hell, they're free. Then they hit you with the sales pitch about how it will only cost 30 bucks a month to sign up to be monitored by their highly professional staff 25/7. I tall them I don't want to be monitored, I just want the free medical devices. Then I hang up. They usually don't call back for a couple months after that.

Just pick up the phone .. answer politely ... and if you feel your privacy has been compromised ... just say (nicely) "hold on please ..." and either hang up, or put the phone down and walk away. No need to get riled up about it.

Thanx Professor. Now ... if I can just get you to use the updated form of "DAMN" instead of the antiquated "Damned" all the time. Damned seems to suggest a descent into "you know where" instead of a casual colloquialism to show frustration or emotion. Just sayin' ...

The worst phone solicitor of all time has to be "Card Services". I have literally gotten several hundred calls from them. I have asked them politely to not call. I have cursed them. I have reported them (waste of time). I have blown a police whistle as loud as I can in their ear. Of course you can just not answer, but their machine keeps dialing several times a day until you do answer.
Next time they all I'm going to ask them to please hold, and then I'll put a recording of Gary singing on.
Better yet, I'll give them Diki's number and tell them he is really interested in reducing his interest rate!
Or I could make an appointment for them to go see Ian.

I have done a fair amount of business with Sweetwater and enter there contest like the 24 days before Christmas where they give a really nice prize everyday for 24 days and they have never called me with a sales call. Ron
