Robbo Member Registered: 07/31/08 Posts: 570 Loc: Ballarat, Victoria, Australia	Hi, Finally got Tyros 5 loving it to bits. One question? In the backing parts of styles sometimes to my liking i want to change the octave of style parts & even the bass, how do you do this? Thanks

shim Member Registered: 03/26/08 Posts: 287 Loc: USA	Just for your info. What you showed from the manual does not show octave for "STYLE" parts. Only "VOICE" parts. And that's because, THERE ISN'T THAT ABILITY IN MIXING CONSOLE! You might be able to go to style creator and over there change the octave, through step editor, but that would be really really time consuming... I hope "Jorgen" (or whatever his name is) or the other guy has a software program that has the functionality you desire. Good luck.

What is the difference between a 'keyboard part' (as described in the manual) and a 'style part'? What constitutes a 'keyboard part'? A 'voice part'? shim Member Registered: 03/26/08 Posts: 287 Loc: USA	Chas, Simple. There are 3 "melody/right hand" parts or voices, and then there are the 8 "tracks" of voices that make up the style. The OP asked how to change the octave of one (some) of those 8 tracks which make up a style. It's pretty simple stuff if you use an arranger keyboard...

You can change the octave of the entire style there, but not a single style component. You can also change the octave of a right hand voice there as well. This would have to be done in the onboard Style Creator program, but I have not done this in so long I forgot how to do it - that among other things I probably should not mention.
