If it was in the NO Superdome the Birds would have got blown away. Next week they have to beat the Seahawks and the 100% chance of rain. That would be a first too.

I hope the Philly Fans don't shoot and beat up anybody like the Alabama booze heads do. I'm glad the Cajuns are smarter and fight for a real reason like a bowl of Gumbo or a platter of crawfish.

For me as for Russian it's very hard to understand what you're talking about.

I posted this strictly for my friends Donny and Dave. I know Donny likes Louisiana because he likes Don and Susan and Don and Susan are Louisiana. I hoped the comment about the Gumbo and the Crawfish would lighten the message.

My oldest son is in Shippensburg. I wish I could get to see all of you guys someday. For me it would be a real thrill.

Kabinopus, My football team of choice is the New Orleans Saints. Donny and Dave's Football team is the Philadelphia Eagles. My team won the game. I called their team the birds.

I hope this gives you an idea of how we joke around about our teams. Sometimes a few of the the team's fans drink too much and start fights. It happens in soccer too eh?

This season was a gift - I never expected to even MAKE the playoffs at the start. The Saints neutralized our best weapons, and our coach failed to adjust. Easy way to loose a game.
We all learned that the Eagles can run the ball (finally), so maybe next year we can have a more balanced offense. Tough weekend for Andy Reid too - the Chiefs looked like they had it in the bag for a while there .... but anything can happen.

Last night, I was playing at my favorite winter spot in Ewing NJ ... had the game on silent while I ran my routine to the few loyal followers who were not afraid of a little winter chill. Had a great time - great dinner and hung with a few newcomers and some old friends. I love my job.

Geaux Saints...!

Eagle and Seahawk are related birds... Now we know how to cook them in a strange kitchen, hopefully the Saints won't forget the recipe by next weekend!

Nope ..the Eagles were the better team...a coaching error prevented the Eagles from a win..At 2:38 left in the game the Eagles had 2 time outs and a 2 minute warning..If they let the Saints score...they have a great chance of winning...The Saints could not stop the Eagles late in the game...And they knew the Saints were capable of running the clock out...Bad coaching decision

Donny ... I will give you that the Es did a LITTLE better than the G-men (to me 3 games is not a LOT, especially since they split against each other) ...
So the Es traded a week of playing golf in the sun for freezing 4 hours in the playoffs - I guess that's a fair deal ... confused1
At least their Super Bowl record will stay intact ... wink

Smile, Donny - when all is said and done WE still have to go to work the next day grin
luv ya, man ...
GO YANKEES ...

Apparently the teams were pretty evenly matched, and no game ever REALLY comes down to one play or one decision ... and I don't EVER think about 'letting' the other team score - how about kicking the ball deep, not giving up a big run-back, and STOPPING the drive instead ... ?!?

Tony, you're right...it's never just one play BUT..Riley Cooper dropping that pass sure didn't help. I think the league should only allow African-Americans to play the wide receiver position.....unless Wes Welker or Jordy Nelson gets traded to the Eagles smile smile smile.

It was already too late for that...just give up the 7 points and score your own 7 points....yields a 1 point win...

Just about every game..Kelly has made a dumb decision...maybe he will learn ...soon..

You are right..they were closely matched teams..
