Cold comfort (sorry;)) for you snowbound guys, but not much forecast in the way of snow up here. Still don't want to be a brass monkey, though. Stay safe, you guys.

Another day lost to the weather. 1/2 inch thick ice on the driveway, the river's are frozen over, can't get out of the driveway.

St Joseph Lighthouse, Lake Michigan 1/2014 after storm.


This is the St. Joseph Lighthouse on Lake Michigan. Today, it is encased in ice as the Midwest was hit with wind chills that reached -50 degrees.

We are expecting 30 cm (11 in) overnight, with high winds.

Sort of used to it now, but I'm always concerned about losing power.

I'd be bored to death...ha ha!

Thanks guys. The camera I've been using for more than a decade is an old Sony Mavica MVC CD1000, which at the time I bought it was very expensive - somewhere around $1,000. Over the years it has provided me with some incredible shots, several thousand of which were sold to leading magazines and newspapers that published my articles. And, of course, I have two of them - just in case. Ironically, you can now purchase a used one in excellent condition for $59.95 at Amazon.
