Though I'm not gigging on MLK day this year, the one I like do to commemorate Martin Luther King's birthday is "A Change Gonna Come". I'm very surprised that Billboard didn't include Sam Cooke's 1963 moving classic in their MLK song list:

Not sure if I'm working because I don't know what day it is. Now I have to look it up.
I wasn't that much aware of him and all he accomplished until he was shot. I used to live in a bubble I guess, but I never was really exposed to racism situations in my younger days. There were no black people in our town, just lots of Native American type "Indians". We all got along fine, though most were very poor back then. Weren't many rich folks in our town either!
