Sharp, who heads up the Korg forums, had this to say today:

"Seems there's a KORG Pa4X on the way. Shocked

I will believe it when I see it, but a good friend of mine was in a leading music store here in Ireland today and the guy working there was telling him about the Pa4X that's being released and that they had one on order."

Yes, I just saw it, too, looking out if there was a rumour about a Kronos MODULE version (which will probably never be...)

It might be that the oasys technollogy, we know from the Kronos has found its way to arrangers.. In which case, this new Pa4x will blow everything away...

Its important however to know that Sharp is not someone to post rumors if he didnt suspect soem truth behind them...

Here we go again, just when I was feeling quite happy with the G70.

SEE! - I told you as soon as I bought the Pa3X, the Pa4X would be released 90 days later - it always happens that way. ;-)

My first clue was when the dealer was selling new ones for less than $2700.

I heard rumors the new Pa4x will have a nice big display and many more up to date modern options for today's technology. Smart move by KORG waiting till after T5 release.Can\t wait to see more info on it very soon.

Even if they do announce it, it will be a hear or more before we see one.

As I said in my post and straight to my friend when he told me this,.... “I'll believe it when I see it”

At this stage, no hope in hell comes to mine.

I'd be a little more optimistic for Musikmesse, but even at that you would be looking at 2015 for a release.

A release in 2015 would also be perfectly in line with KORG's current time line.

Regards
James

Yep... It's not often you see an arranger rushed out in advance of their usual product cycle, especially one rumored to use brand new technology and stuff never seen before.

TBH, we are probably better served not clamoring for it to be rushed out, give Korg time to perfect it before shipping... Bugs in the initial release will probably set the line back further than asking potential customers to wait until the normal release date.

Rumors are just that... rumors.

At this point, in the midst of development and debugging, I doubt even Korg have a firm idea when it will be ready!

If you rely on salesmen trying to get an order out of you for a product (that has had NO details announced by the maker for accurate information), I've got some real estate down here in Florida you might be interested in..!
