Years ago..the Gallien Kruger 200mv was the best vocal monitor..a full range 200 watt monitor..

The GK's weren't cheap , but they were well made and did the job..

Wow! Now you're really going back in time, Fran - I had one of those. Seemed like a century ago.

Donny, if I recall, the system had horrible lows and squeaky sounding highs, but fine for what it was intended for as a vocal monitor. As for weight, if I recall, it was just over 50 pounds.

With a 6" speaker, I imagine the TC has a much better bottom end than the SRM's. Remains to be seen if singers will be OK with the larger form factor...

LOL... so that glowing recommendation of the SRM may shortly turn out to be just your current fad? eek2

No offense, keep telling people how you think, but I just think it's fair to point out how often you change your gear, and how your opinion often changes radically about it depending on whether you are currently using it or not.

The list of gear you have gone through is epic, and it's often VERY instructional to go back in the archives, and compare your reviews of things when you first get them to your opinion a year later or so..! On the whole, I tend to only take what you say about something as reliable if you are STILL using it a year after you get it! That's not a very long list, is it? cool2
