About the same price as those SRM150's (although not as compact)... Mackie are going to have to up their game!

SRM 150 on 5 gigs so far = 4x what I invested,.....
nuff said.

I like that you can use it on the floor angled up and the quick click to a mic stand. No adapters to remember like the SRM150 or the Behringer knock-off. Plus effects thrown in for free! Only 6.6 pounds!!

The more I look at it the more I like it. Monitoring, vocal effects, and having your mixer close by. I do wish it had some stereo capabilities but maybe I'm being too fussy. Having this and a few powered speakers would make a nice system.
Probably been covered here many times before but how important is stereo to you in live preformance? It definatly sounds better to me, more depth, but like a lot of things does the audience know or care?
I've also wondered that if you go to a major theatre or concert are those systems in stereo?

Should of clarified my stereo statement. While I understand the monitor would be mono I think it would be great if it had ins/outs for stereo so you could use a good pair of powered speakers. My Crate keyboard amps have this feature.

BTW, a general question: if an active speaker starts to distort at higher volumes, is it generally due to the amplifier or more to the membranes? Genelec has just released a model which is exactly like the one before,same-size woofer/tweeter etc., but with a much more powerful class D amplifier. Can I expect it to bear slightly higher volumes without distorting? Thanks for your opinion.
