It's a bit more complicated than basic EQ...

There are many different places where high end can be added or cut, and not just to the overall arranger, but on a per Part basis, per Tone, or even per drum INSIDE a kit.

For instance, adding a bit of 8k to hi-hats and rides can make the overall sound SEEM brighter, but it's JUST that one element. Add to that, perhaps the send and insert effects have a more transparent top end, and it can come from there...

There are just so MANY ways to skin a cat!
