Larry, I've been listening to your submissions ever since you arrived at this site. Wow! You have really improved dramatically over the years. You sound so much better than Bob Marley it's hard to describe. You ARE READY for the big times.

A fantastic job on a cool tune, Beachbum! Is it an original? At any rate, I found it quite enjoyable. Enjoy that new T5!

Thanks for the music,
Dan

Great tune and sounds coming out of your KB and vocal. I can't wait to hear what you do with the T5.

Thanks Don! I'm new to the arranger scene so will be doing some heavy-duty lurking for a while.

Hey Beach, up here in Canada Tyros 5 is between 5 and 6 K and you can't even find one to try. Even the local Yamaha Dealer will not bring one in for fear of being stuck with an expensive instrument that might not sell. You have to buy and then try which is the opposite of the way I make my musical purchases. Good luck with yours. Which Reggae style did you use? I love Reggae and would like to see if that style is on my PSR S 750

God Bless,
Don

Congratulations on a well done performance!

Thanks Tony!

Don, None of the music stores, Guitar Center and Strait Music don't carry arrangers and don't even know what they are, "I've asked" So no tested but to buy. I have had a T4 in the past and know what to expect, the thing I miss are the voices and the key bed, At least these keyboards keep their value, I had the T4 for over a year and sold it for $100 less than I bought it for...

Use to use Dcall for 5 CD's and it was suggested to me to make a name change since I do so much beach type music, so that's why the name Duncan Isle. Don't know where Larry came from that's a first.

As to gear
I have a workstation PC I built, I have tried about every software DAW out there and for me Adobe Audition 1.5 and 3.0 work for me.
I have a dedicated audio card RME Hammerfall DSP 9632 card. This was an important change since it really keeps the noise level down and it's a PCI card so no latency issues you get with USB boxes (I tried a ton of those as well)
I use the 950 with a shure 58 mic running through the keyboard.
I have also tried about ever condenser Mic out there as well, like the shure 58
It goes to a Allen and Heath mixer then into the workstation.

I wasted a few years and some major cash fiddling around with software and usb and firewire boxes but I never got the right sound.
Hope this helps!
