'back in the day' with the band playing weddings and dinner dances, we would do a 15 - 20 minute 'show' featuring our lead (best) vocalist ... floor lights, loooooong mic wire (pre wireless) ... one show we did was an Al Jolson tribute - "Back in Your Own Backyard/Toot Toot Tootsie/ Robert E. Lee/Rock a Bye/ etc." ... the audiences loved it ... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" ... but it was the BEST time to be a part of a 'wedding/dinner dance' band ... Thanx Tony,.......let me add it was also Pre Computer, Pre Dj, unlike today,.....glad I was a part of that era for 25 yrs with a live 7 pc band.....today after 17 years a solo act,wouldn't change what I do now for anything........enjoy!
