Alot of this CAN BE DONE Now how much of this process can be adapted by using the tools inside your Arranger KB,to create music, songs, etc,......?

I dont see how this has any relationship to an arranger, its strictly a sequencer and does not follow your chords....

The only way i can see this being use inan arranger setting is by creating a midi file and then exportin it ... And importing the midi fyle as a style pattern on an arranger who has that option..

However, i would allways use a daw or pc for this kind of creative things.... They have way more options and are much easier to operate becaus of the bigger screen.

I've never had much interest in Workstations, even those equipped with arpeggiators, ever since arrangers grew up and added sequencing and editable (and more realistic) styles.

Even the factory sound-sets on an arranger have nothing to be ashamed of when compared to a workstation, and in some cases, like Yamaha's SA/SA2 and Korg's DNC, they are every bit as expressive if not more.

Plus, the arranger lets me play my music in "real time", as opposed to multi-tracking necessary on a workstation.

The bottom line...too much "work" in the Workstation for me, when I can easily put down a great demo in a fraction of the time with my Tyros4.

I know people that have arrangers tyros, pa3x, that NEVER use styles ever! They only use the sequencer and record & create backing tracks for vocals,.......not everyone uses repeatative style play, they like custom bass lines, drum parts, etc, nothing wrong with that,.. today's arrangers are equipped to do so many things regarding musical creation. Lots of tools in the bag.

Well, that's the beauty of the arranger...lots of choices.

For me, I use only styles, and only ones I've edited so as to give my music my own personal stamp.

Plus, I like playing the same tunes using different genre styles, depending on my mood.

In any case, the arranger is a far better tool, than a workstation, for my needs.

Let me jump in here, I had many keyboards of all sorts over many years in music, and there are features in a workstations that are not in an arranger and also in arrangers that are not in workstations, depending on the situation I would want to have both
just to cover all my basis.

The thing that mainly puts me off the Krome is I tried one ( a Krome 61 ) a while back in my local GC and the keyboard not only had a cheap terrible feel but their floor model already had 3 dead keys. Didn't inspire confidence. I admit it didn't sound too bad on the keys that made a sound.

The Kronos is still looking like a better deal to me even if it costs more.

I don't know about the quality of this unit as I never touched one. but,....the point is that with most modern workstations today you can achieve the same results using arps, sequencing etc, with a similar recording process.
