Hi Henni

I liked both very much, although it was not what I expected compared to your praise and worship offerings. It shows me how diverse your abilities are. The S950 sounds very good also.

Hi Bernie,

Tx! The S950 really inspires me. Such a pity the same genres cannot be had on the Audya. I really like a great many of the Yamaha styles & I missed them till now...

Keep well my friend,

Henni

Nice work, Henni...very contemporary form and simple and effective arrangements.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the replies. DNJ, I did not switch from the Audya, I simply added the Yamaha. The Audya is GREAT, but I missed a great many of the fantastic Yamaha styles. I simply cannot convert these properly for the Audya.

Also, the small size, light weight & onboard speakers are now also great. So now I live in my perfect world, having everything I could ever want in any arranger. The ONLY thing I still miss are those Yamaha scat voices. AJ did a great job in creating some of these for the Audya, but I would still love many, many more styles that make use of these like i.e. the T5. Unfortunately the T5 is hellishly expensive over here, & size & weight wise it would just be another Audya.

All the best my friends,

Henni

Hi Henni,

Very nice sounds coming out of your 950. You have a wide range of colors to draw from now with your Ketron/Yamaha combination. You have two fantastic instruments that I'm sure you'll be making lots of fabulous music on.

Phil Collins ' "in the air tonight" style for the first song.

BTW , I thought Audya can do all those.(or import audio styles including gtr tracks)

Hi,

It's a onboard Yamaha style. I'm not into secular music, so I won't know.

Yes, I can create nice styles on the Audya by browsing in audio loops, but they won't be the original Yamaha styles. Nothing comes close to the Audya for me as far as authenticity is concerned. But Yamaha is really strong on modern types of styles. Also, I am very fond of their styles using any type of distortion guitars. For the styles, it boils down to the programmers, not the arranger. I'm convinced that all new arrangers sound fantastic. Roland styles convert rather nice to other formats, but not Yamaha. So if anyone wants Yamaha styles, there are only two options:

1. Buy a Yamaha
2. Purchase Dan's software

I was lucky enough to be able to comply with one of those.

Henni
