Hi,

I really like my S950 a lot. It plays just about every style I've collected over the years as is. No more tedious mega voicing mods required.

However, the add on YEP files do add new voices that can be used direct in the style. Therefor, why not a T4 scat voice upgrade from Yamaha (at a price off course) that will allow it to play the T4 styles properly including those fantastic human voices?

Hi Henni,

I think I've given up waiting for extra vocal voices ok the s950 I doubt yamaha will release a pack of that nature as they would have done it by now. We'll just have to wait and see if the s950 replacement will have them and how many. I don't think yamaha want to make the 's' series too close to the tyros but even with a couple of decent voices would suffice we don't need too many.

Hi Danny
Thank you. Been busy going thru the styles. I noticed some of the intro's seem to be missing a sound when I've tried both the T3 and t4 of the same style, so as you suggested, safer maybe to stick to a t3 version where possible and if I find one I really want to use, do a bit of tweaking.

The styles are great.

Thanks again
Best wishes

I would only use the T4 styles that are exclusive to the T4 (eg, not found elsewhere) and tweak them otherwise the T3 version of the style would sound best.

Hi Henni,
Yep, that's what I'm doing, going back thru all the old styles I got over the years, right back to the psr2000. Even though most of them are duplicated thru the various models, one still finds the occasional older gem.

Haven't delved into things as yet, what is a YEP file?

Did you sell your Ketron? Or is the psr just addition like mine is to the korg?

I bought mine, because I was wasting so much time converting the psr's across to korg, nice to be able just to play them.

Best wishes
