I usually sing at my high school reunion and the chairman of the reunion committee has asked me to load up my You Tube channel so that he can get former alumni a taste of what lies in store at the reunion. Our theme is "Celebrating the Sixties" so a lot of my 50's and 60's stuff works very well I've been burning the midnight oil trying to fulfill his request. Here's one I just finished yesterday. It shows the prowress of my Digitech Vocalist harmonizer.

God Bless,
Don

Never had a You Tube channel until recently. For some reason I can't embed this video on the Yamaha Forum and since I get a blank box with the word "FLASH" in it I assumed it was a Mac/Flash issue. So, I thought I'd try it here and it works perfectly. Hope you guys enjoy it! It's the first song I didn't live record. I wanted to double track Lennon's bridge the old way by singing along in sync with the recorded track. Not an easy thing to do. Took lots of takes. Lennon did it routinely and was used to the technique that gave a lot of his vocals so much power.

Nice Don - Great tune.
I hear a bit of phasing in the vocal ... like a chorus effect. Anything like a doubler on?

Hey Dave,

I doubled tracked Lennon's bridge the way he did by singing along in sync with the first track.

That was awsome Don. What keyboard and style was that? Did you use one of the presets on your Digitech? Thanks for posting and enjoy your reunion.

Hi there!

I used one of the 6/8 rhythms on my Yamaha PSR S750 and the Eaglets 3 preset on my Digitech Vocalist 4. Glad you enjoyed it!

Don
