check out my new demo track made on KN6500/EW01/EW02 at http://www.keynotepublications.com/lorddance.html ,confusingly this is not on the MP3 DEMOS page like the others.

if you now right click on KN6500/6000 Demo Number Three at the bottom of the text, and left click "save target as" you can download the MP3 file to your computer.

The demo is an MP3 file so that people without a KN6500/6000 can listen to it too.

If you only have small pc speakers, and you have an audio lead, try feeding the audio line out from your soundcard to the audio line in on your KN. A good bass response is a definate advantage with this track!

Hallo Alec,

Very well done...I liked it a lot.

How can I record a sequencer file from my kn6500 to my computer and put it on a cd.
What program do I need.
I have finale 2001 but I don't succeed in doing this.

Thanks,
Alain

Hi Technicsplayer,

Thanks for the MP3 file and thinking of us who do not have a KN6000/65000. The file was super and I enjoyed it to the max!!! --- And you think you have no talent -- Bah humbug! Talent is dripping from your fingers in my opinion!

Carol

Thanks very much, Folks,

Gilbert, I only edited voices from the 01 and 02 cards because it was an easier starting point, and I'm lazy. You could edit some sounds from a straight 6000 and get a very similar results with a little time... there are 2 other songs on the MP3 DEMOS page.

Alain, your Finale is a midi data editor and score writer. To make a cd record the audio line out into a wave recording program. Windows sound recorder will give a very basic result for free. All sequencer programs available now have one or more stereo audio wave recorders built in, see http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum25/HTML/000532.html

Peter, yes, thin is not a description I would recognise in comparison with the competition at the equivalent prices.

Carol, playing ability is a matter of degree, to me playing like Ashkenazy is an impossible dream. Ashkenazy maybe wishes he could play like Horowitz! Someone who has never seen a keboard before probably thinks I could play, its all relative... that's all I mean.
A good easy play arranger allows an amateur to fool you he can really play

Scott, coming from a good player (and vocalist) like yourself that's cool.

Gunnar, hope your 5000 subwoofer still works!

Hi technicsplayer

Downloaded your MP3 track and really appreciated your creativity you will have to make some CD’s also thanks for the info regarding that Acer Mini External CD-RW it looks real smart with a good spec noticed in the Accessories list it comes with USB and PCMCIA cables unfortunately over here in the UK this CD-RW is twice the price as expected and the shops need to make even more money out of us so they do not include this PCMCIA cable its sold separately and cost around £29 GBP

Hi Alec, Really enjoyed your 'Lord of the Dance' - Drum and Bass sounds awesome. Does anybody know where I can get a pair of Leak Sandwich Speakers Re-Coned ??
You have stirred some memories - I'm off to watch my DVD of River Dance !

Alec, very impressive!! I've had the Clavinova series sitting around, now I'm going to have to listen to them because I really liked the Irish style, too. I just clicked on the demo link and it played on the Media Player and through my stereo speakers. I'm going to have to reread the part about exchanging drum sounds note for note - sounds very interesting. Now, when can we expect more of the same???

Thanks again, everyone,

yes, Pete, the markup over here for such stuff is depressing. If you like risks, do what I do and get it direct from the States, there are worthwhile savings to be made, even if you have to pay the duty (need to check everything out carefully by email first naturally). You can get a usb 4x4x6 for £150 or cheaper here quite easily, but I really would get something with buffer under-run technology - it is worth it in the long run.

Wow! Bill, you still have a pair of Leak Sandwitch? Didn't they have the aluminium cones? They must be worth real money now in Japan to an enthusiast...
I still have my Spendors but won't risk them with the keyboard, the Kef References just won't blow up whatever you throw at them

Bud, that was the best style on the entire piano!

Thanks, Bebop, and to you too.

That's incredible, Walter
still working and with original valves?
Wow! the precursor to the legendary Quad II?

Before my time, I'm afraid, but I've read about it all, from the original Williamson amplifier?? in Wireless World?? in the 40s?

The Quad was then the first to 0.01 distortion amp?

They still market a valve Quad today, have you seen the prices?.... Whew!!!!

Worked the last time I had it switched on!! Can't remember about the valves. Sits beside my Rogers cadet 3! Amp!! Gave away my Quad, funny, never liked it. Just given away a pair of B&W, Sony badged, electrostatic speakers, showing their age. Still have a B&O
4000 Receiver, and a lovely designed B&O Cassette Deck. Could go on!!!!! Walter.

Hi Folks, Just returned from a few of days in SUNNY Scotland. Great to see that the Forum is still very busy - it's going to take me most of the evening to catch up on the 'Goings On'
Yes Alec, the Leak Sandwich speakers have the central aluminium cone and a separate tweeter at the top of the cabinet. They still produce a great sound - despite my remarks about looking for someone to re-cone them after playing your composition! I was joking Walter ! but thanks for your concern and the contact for new cones!
