I'm very proud to let you know about the re-launch of Gunnar Jonny's website with his kind permission. New pages are being retrieved daily and I hope to have the complete site available during October.

Huge thanks go to Gunnar for allowing his site to be re-built, this is a massive resource for Technics owners.

Thanks very much Nigel I really appreciate that. GJ has managed to locate many of his archived files today so hopefully I can make a major update shortly.

Hi Mike.

If everything worked OK, you should have recieved the files / contents of the site during the day.
It's been some years since last update, 2009 I think. (First upload of the KN pages was back in 1998).

Bob Hendershot's site is still up and running at my host (very limimited space for free). You'll also find it in the filestructure as well.
There are also other "guestwriters" and contributors as i.e. (well known Technics Guru) Alec Pagida who helped me a lot and wrote about KN files and what they do.
He also created some nice KN6000 files who was downloadable at my site.
George Basnett wrote a lot about soundedit, orchestration etc....

Please never forget to refer to the contributors and writers when use this material.

Good luck with your work, hopefully some of the stuff can be for help for the Technics KN users around the world.

Why have you deleted the original kn7000 section from my contribution to Gunnar's site without permission? Could it be you wanted to use the information there as the basis for your own page without acknowledging the source?

Hello Alec,

I'm very pleased to hear from you, I've been trying to contact you for quite a while, including sending a private message on this site to you. I've been checking in regularly hoping you will have read it.

There's certainly nothing intentionally omitted from your contribution to Gunnar's site. Your page was re-created from the following link on the wayback machine and it doesn't have any KN7000 information:

http://web.archive.org/web/20080727120541/http://home.c2i.net/gjgotaas

Recently, Gunnar sent me the original website files and the page is slightly newer with basically the same info and nothing about KN7000. I didn't want to add something to the page that wasn't there originally. However, I certainly agree that most of the filetype information on the TechnicsKN7000 site has come from various sources which I'm certain you wrote in the first place (which is one of the reasons I've been trying to get in touch). I haven't had time to complete all of Gunnar's pages fully yet so I'm not sure if you're referring to a different page.

I assure you that I've been trying to contact you in order to discuss acknowledgements amongst many other things and that there are many mentions of your considerable contributions to everyone's knowledge about the instruments on the sites, I sincerely hope that I haven't caused you any offence because that's the last thing I would want.

A huge amount of work has gone into the sites and they are a work in progress, I acknowledge that I'm working as fast as I can to be as complete as I can. In that process I've tried to prioritise getting useful information out to everyone quickly, with the intention of re-visiting all the pages in an iterative process to make them more useful and to make sure I haven't missed anything. Some few pages I've just put up quickly so that people have access to them.

Alec, I joined this site on 21st August and sent you a pm on 25th, it was and is very important to me to make contact with you and it was one of the main reasons for asking Nigel whether I could be a member. Many members would confirm this because I've been asking them whether they have your contact details. I hope that no offence has been caused and I look forward to hearing more from you.

Best wishes,
Mike

Oh, dear, dear, dear! Thou has offended the ego of all egos by not giving credit where do.

Mike, you are a gentleman and said it well. Sir Alec needs to bother to read his email and respond like any kind and decent guy would. We have to realize that he is bigger than life. Of course, this is all in his head.

Hi Scott,I must say I have to agree with your post,Mike is trying to do an invaluable job in trying to gather together information on Technics products and not only the beloved KN7000 but some of the older or lesser models, not everybody has the way with all to afford the top of the range even now when they are second hand.I have been working with Mike helping with this great project albeit in a small way,buy I must say my dealings with Mike have be very friendly and his attitude has been nothing but that of a gentleman giving credit where it is due to all,I know that when trawling around the web trying to find so called LOST sites it is often the thing that parts of the site I used some time ago are missing,Technics Canada is a prime example, links have been archived incomplete or not at all, even if you know the person or peoples involved contacting them can be very hard if NOT imposable!!!!! and if they don't read their messages how are we supposed to make contact perhaps by the powers of the All MIGHTY ONE!!!!!!

Regards to all and Nigel, this new site won't ever replace this forum but will add to,and help ALL of us enjoy our music more.
JOHN.

We are all just trying to help preserve Technics support online. If we don't no-one else will.

Hi Mike, Sorry, not read any mail here since been working abroad and had nothing to do with keyboards for many years now - just looked in. The original of 7k info is here:
