Paradise is hard to find. I was fortunate to be able to see most of the Islands during the mid-50's and my favorite was Kauai. I've never been back but suspect it is the best of the lot today.

So sad to hear your exchange about Staten Island. I have a drummer acquaintance living there and his health is probably significantly worse because of the hurricane damage. The impact of seeing your old stomping ground in such sad shape must be hard to take. My condolences.

Thanx Dave......it makes me sad every time I gig there or visit friends. ...but hey everything changes...glad I saw it coming years ago and moved south....many people didn't and are stuck there for whatever reason. Sandy was devastating to this day all along the coastal areas....
