Just piano and lead voice. A little break from the one man band concept. No bass, no drums no harmonies.

Very nice, Don:

Korg's pianos voices/instruments are impressive. That was a great vocal as well.

Enjoyed,

Dave Rice

Don, this is just beautiful...you have a great voice, and an excellent delivery, and the simplicity of the accompaniment brings these out to great effect.

Very nicely done, indeed...and, also, one of my favorite Bee Gee tunes.

Thanks for listening Ian, Spalding and Dave. Appreciate your comments!
Dave that piano actually came from my PSR S750 but I agree about the Korg piano.
I would really like to get a Korg Pa 900 but I'm not sure about giving up my PA 80.

Don

Nice job! It is always a nice touch to break away from the arrangements and strip it down to piano and voice. It proves to your audience that you are the center piece of your act and not your keyboard... without you, the keyboard does nothing. Keep up the good work!!

Hi Don, I really enjoyed your performance. I think audiences will always appreciate a will delivered vocal with a single instrument ( non-automated) accompaniment. I think it would serve all arranger keyboard players that are doing public performances to have at least a couple tunes in their repertoire that do not use any auto accompaniment or tracks of any kind.

solo stripped down acoustic songs piano ...guitar only work in certain situations choose them wisely or risk a bored audience & lost energy,...but they are good to have a few in your repertoire if needed. You can even do a few songs using just the multipads with a vocal, etc,..

Yes drums and bass make the music very danceable. I used to do a guitar/beatbox gig years ago before I could even play keyboard. One place I played often had two baseball teams that had just played each other drinking beer and dancing to the jukebox. Got some looks from the dancers when I walked on stage with my guitar as they likely thought I was going to spoil their fun. To the contrary I would hit them with nonstop upbeat rock and roll. They stayed on the dance floor and I would work hard to keep them there usually by going right into the next song without a break. When I figured they were ready I would do the same thing with slow dance numbers like "To Love Somebody"/"Words"/ "I Started a Joke" etc.

God Bless,
Don
