That's the most idiotic thing ever. Seven grand?

This sounds to me like a portable DAW. The problem is that they are not reaching the quality and requirements of full blown DAW.

I can buy a controller, a laptop and tons of software synth for far less than this price.

On the positive note, I really salute them for breaking grounds with this exciting product... if they can only do something about the price.

That's it right there, the A in English class that I never got. If only they made one back then.

That interval grouping represents the advance (proceed in forward direction) command

The major intervals are eighths beginning with a tonic pickup note:
1{command; moderate advance}| |:3351 3351 | 3351 3351 | 3351 3351 | 3351 3351 |{and) 3333 5__3 |{to repeat} 1111 3__1:|%%%| then
| |:{and} 3333 5__3 |(end of command) 1515 1___ :| |%

The trumpeteers in the English army rode tandem to the commander. The commander's orders were translated to a musical progresion that represented it. The trumpeteer's function was to broadcast the command to his flanks.

Many armies used this form of communication to the troops. The broadcast was typically 16 or 32 bars.
Just something I remember from a history chapter in music theory. Surely most of us have at one time or another heard the charge sequence: 1|3531 1 3531 1 3531 | 3333 5___3

I believe I recall this trivia correctly, but don't hold your troops to it.

Paul Simon recorded a great deal of his work at the sound studio I worked at (now known as Ground Zero Rec.). Paul is an absolute musical genius. I'm thankful to have his complete musical history in my library.

Knowledge of the theory ain't that important.
I only have a very basic understanding of the theory and I never had any trouble writing music or playing with bands.
All I ever needed to help me write music were my ears, horny female vocalists (like that bad bitch Lysdexia) and a bit of creativity and patience. Well that and some good grass, zig-zags and lots of cold beer, YEAAAH !!!

Theory only helps me communicate with other musicians and in some ways analyze music that I'm inspired by.

That thing is frikkin humongous. What market is this aimed at? A pro studio doesn't need one. An average home studio owner can't afford one.

A better product would have been a custom made laptop, packed with whatever is inside this monstrosity.

As an average home studio owner, I don't see the need for that thing even if I could afford it. Midi / usb cables, along with my keyboards, my soft synths, and samplers work just fine for me, and I have a computer already loaded with the software I like.

I bet if I totalled all the money spent on the computer and hardware, what is in the computer ( software ) and the keyboards, it still adds up to substantially less money than that beast. If I really needed to have a computer at a gig, ( I don't ), even if I bought a used laptop, I think I'm still ahead of the game.

I do like the idea, but not the price or the size of it.
