Hi there,

In all fairness I have to admit that I have hardly touched my arranger boards over the last six months, which I guess explains partly why I have not been around here all that much. On top of that I have given up the "persuit of new arranger keyboards " being quite satisfied with my Korg PA800 and old Ketron X1.

By chance I got in touch with another home musician living 200 kilometres from where I live, being the proud owner of a Korg PA900. We hit upon the idea of trying to create songs together by swapping sound files via the net.

As I have been wanting to get back to grassroots I first recorded a song with acoustic guitar and vocals. Then the process of swapping and adding sounds such as bass guitar, strings, percussion , solo instruments etc. started.

Initially I also filmed my recordings hence the first few songs will have visual to so speak, but we aim at filling a complete CD by the end of this year.

The first two have been completed and here are the links:

Enjoy !

regards,
John

Thanks to all of you for your uplifting comments. I feel inspired and grateful for the long distance collaboration with fellow musician Carlo.I have coined it M.M.A.T. ( not to be mixed up with L.A.T. ): Making Music Apart Together. smile
It is really great recording in this way, all the more so because one can do things at one's own leisure and still within the confines of your own room. I have also re-discovered the great pleasure of playing my acoustic guitar...

regards,
John

John I have done many long distance musical projects with musicians from all over the world. In today's high tech environment it all comes together so nicely as if you were together in one place.. keys

If you ever want to try some 60's classics M.M.A.T
I'd be on-board keep it going! cool2

Thanks Donny, I'll bear that in mind. As matters stand for the moment I am incredibly busy with this project together with my Dutch music buddy. But it would be great to join forces one day on a great tune from the sixties.
To be continued smile

regards,
John
