Anyone using an ANTI GLARE MATTE protective film on their KB Display?
I sometimes have a problem with ceiling lighting on gigs that is directly above me glaring off the shiny display screen making viewing difficult at certain angles.... I was wondering if a Matte Anti-glare cover would be a solution.......just like some use on cell phones , tablets etc?.....any ideas?....and if so which brand?

Tech Amor Matte

Took a shot and bought one of these I'll cut it to fit,...
hope it works ...if not I throw it out the window lol..

I ordered one Donnie. We will both throw it out the window, but the reviews tell me otherwise.

Thanks
Bernie

I've been using a screen protector on my PA500 for about 2 years. Got it for a buck at the Dollar Tree.

Very good protection for my iPad. I have a case but need it nekid when on my holder.

Very easy to install, and is anti-glare but transparent. Since two came in the package, I cut the second to fit my Surface 2 Pro, which is a great tablet.

UPDATE:....... I received the Tech Armor anti glare protector.......as it's made for an iPad, I had to try to cut it to fit the size of the
S-950 display which is much smaller...that was easy......But, trying to put this stuff on with out bubbles or smears, etc, was a total disaster. confused2 I got so frustrated after 3x trying to do it I just ended up crumbling it up and throwing it in the garbage mad Nuff Said!!

SECOND UPDATE:....As per Gary's instruction to alleviate my KB
angle view problem from being a very "low sitter" I went to Lowes and bought two rubber door stops, & a package of plastic lock ties. Got home, cut 2 holes in the sides of each door stop and ties them to both tier bars of my Ultimate support IQ2000 X Stand,...now I have a 2 inch rise in the rear of the S-950 giving me a better viewing display angle. I will take it on a test drive on stage during today's performance show and report back....to be continued....... keys

I'd like to know how the Door-Stop trick works out for you. For my PSR-900 which I keep in Boston (800 miles from me and my Tyros5 - for family visits), I used to find an old "two-by-four" piece of wood to raise the back of the keyboard up off the stand a bit - the door stop method looks like a much better way to do this! I'll probably buy 2 door stops and bring them up for my Christmas visit!

Thanks DNJ/Gary for this idea!
-Jim

Jim, I did this many years ago when I was using two keyboards and couldn't see the screen on the top board because of the angle. It works great.

Gary cool

I took a 1" by 3" board about 3 feet long and covered it with speaker 'carpet' ... I place it on the outer ends of the X stand and lay the KB on it ... it works fine, but I may try the door stop ...

wood is too bulky and heavy......when tightened they start to contour to the shape of the round tier making a nice fit...
these door stops cost .78 cents each...when I get time I'll spray them black also. And rubber has a tacky texture to prevent sliding also. wink

Donny ... if this piece of wood weighs even 1 pound, I'll EAT it ! ... laugh2 ... I just lay it in the bottom of the KB bag ... in fact, I've even thought about attaching it to the KB with industrial velcro, but I'll try the door stop first ...

But you're right about the rubber door stop ...

I just turn two knobs and adjust the angle of one of the tiers on my keyboard stand. smile
Right now I have both tiers tilted up slightly at the back.
The old Ultimate Support tube stands are the best ever made. They are very light weight, very strong and totally adjustable in every way.
I've had several for at least 20 years. It's a shame they don't make them anymore.

Donny and Gary ... looking at the photo and seeing only that small contact point to the KB, I have to ask "How stable is it?" ...

very stable..the tackiness of the rubber holds well combined with the front. But honestly the slight raise didn't help much under the overhead lighting at his gig....so I'm still up in the air if I will keep it or cut them off.
