I couldn’t agree more with Ian’s comments about playing in stereo. I’d rather not play at all if it had to be in mono. To my hearing, there’s that much of a difference. I always use two powered speakers (left and right outputs) with any board of mine.

I regularly use the Compact on most gigs and always carry a Barbetta in the van. I had a couple of different back to back gigs a couple of weeks ago and didn’t really want to take the L1 B1 stuff. So, I asked on the Bose forum if anyone had ever daisy chained the Compact with an amp similar to the Barbetta. Response was ‘no problem’. Here is my after gig post;
“I was amazed … the gig was a dinner with seating for 300, in a building that was built in 1917 - lots of concrete - and the acoustics were much like the dreaded school gym. I set up early, and thought that while I had the time, I would do a sound check with only the Compact. I’ve never had occasion to set the volume past 12:00 o’clock, but for the check, I set it about 1 o’clock. I turned the bass and reverb down. The compact filled the room and I didn’t set up the Barbetta, just used the Compact, only, for the whole gig. I was concerned about the sound and asked servers and guests several times about it and all said it sounded great. The only drawback – I set up the compact up as I always do, just to my right and a little behind, now it may take a couple of days for my ears to stop ringing.
Ciao,
Jerry”

Another reason to have two units (stereo). . .
A couple of weeks ago I loaded up the two Nano 300s and went to a job at the supper club. As I was setting up I realized I had left the two high-end speakers for one of the units at home. I just forgot to place them in their holder underneath the base (bass) unit.
No problem, I just set the remaining one up in stereo and never missed a beat.
I always have a backup for everything with me but rarely have occasion to use one except if something fails, or my old-age memory failed, as it did this time.

I'm thinking using two New Nano 600 units in stereo will be amazing vs the 300

Simple, inexpensive and plenty of power for its size/weight. Real stereo separation. Lots of inputs/outputs. Decent effects. Good company to deal with. Sounds very good.
Its my studio system and I just took it out to a bigger gig to use as a mixer/monitor system with my JBL 515xts. Other musicians who plugged into it loved it and I could of almost covered the gig with just the Carvin setup.
And that little mixer will push four speakers, so if your in an odd situation you can put sound all over. I carry the mixer and cables in a gym bag and have covers for the speakers. Fast setup and easy to move.

I demoed the Fender Expo system I feel the Expo system or Maui 11 sounds much better then the Bose L1 compact zero feed back right up close to the unit bose feeds back and Expo system sounds true very clean .

I want to see how it sounds with extra speakers attached to it like my K8 and my k12 QSC units I think it would be a great sounding system with QSC k 8 and fender expo K8 110 degrees and Expo good coverage small and easy to set up . by the way I just traded my Yamaha DXR 12s and my DSR 15 subs for QSC 12s and QSC K sub and a eurolive 205d I am a big QSC fan and QSC sounds better with instrments and Yamaha sound better with a DJ set up great deal for both I am very happy and a system that sounds awasome 2 k 8 2 k 12 1 k sub perfect combo add expo and I got it covered
