Okay, well I had an Amazon Gift Card Balance of $119.84, and used it towards the purchase of an Arturia Microbrute synth.

Nigel, and all of my other friends, you were right. So I am not a great player, bu hell at least I will have some fun. Maybe I will do some more sound poetry, like my ode to the Etherwave Theremin. Oh, yea. I'm not getting rid of that thing.

it's a late Birthday gift to myself. Even though my Birthday Was January 19th.

Happy Birthday Paul. That is great you bought yourself a present for no other reason than to have fun. That is what it is all about. And I felt you had a real connection to that Theramin.

Thank You Nigel. Yea, my video on ode to the Etherwave Theremin has 40 views. Maybe when I get the Microbrute, I may do some more poetry with sound.

Hey Nigel, my Microburte finally arrived today. Man, is this thing awesome. I can not beleive that something this small, and inexpensive. Can have such a massive sound. It amazing how far synths ahve come in 50 plus years. From the old Modular Moogs, to this mini synth. I am really enjoying this thing, as well as my Theremin. I would like to save up and buy the MS20 Mini, but for now I will just enjoy this.

BTW: Do you have any suggestions for inexpensive studio speakers. Something to upgrade from my Teac Powered speakers. Dosen't Yamaha or Roland make some. Nothing to large. Something that will fit on a desk. Right now, I am running my microbrute through. My Peavy keyboard amp.

Sounds like a lot of fun !!! Why are you wanting to replace the Teac speakers? Take a look at http://www.musiciansfriend.com/studio-monitors and read the reviews to see what people think of them. Many of them are powered. But if they don't say PAIR the prices are for just one speaker.

Well the TEAC have RCA inputs. I would most likely use 1/4inch to RCA in order to connect the synth. I just didn't know if there was something better, or if I should upgrade. The speakers are 15 years old. They still work.

Speaker technology hasn't really changed much. Some accept digital input but I don't think that is a consideration with the Theremin and Microbrute. I think the Teac speakers will be just fine. Save your money for other toys.

Thank you for the advice Nigel!

Yea, like the Korg MS20 mini.

It's amazing the power that comes from such a small synth?

I should look for a mixer, or something where I can connect multiple instruments, to my speakers.

I would recommend one of the cheap Behringer mixers. They are great value for a cheap price.
