Factory on-board style, Soul Shuffle, according to Music Finder on my Tyros4...Intro II is pretty close. The style is also on Tyros3 and perhaps recent PSR.

Ron, you are my HERO!
Thank you very kindly.
Ian
PS...are you gettin' as much snow in your area as we are here on Cape Breton Island...30 to 40 cm predicted for tomorrow (Sunday) with 90 km/hr winds and -20 C temps. We just got 20 cm yesterday.
I cannot believe the amount of snow the Maritimes get. Its storm after storm after storm. I have an "in-law" in Moncton and he keeps me up to date...UNBELIVABLE.

Maybe time to move :-) .
Thankfully the snow removal here at my apartment complex is efficient and, more importantly, free!
Otherwise I don't mind the snow storms...that just means I'll be staying in more and doing more playing. I make sure I stock up on lots of grub.
That Superstition style is awesome, Ron...it even has TWO Clavinet tracks, as opposed to the Yamaha factory style which has only one. Yours is spot on realistic, especially the Intros.
Out here in Edmonton we had a surprise 20cm last night and none of the forecasters, or anyone else, saw it coming. My daughter lives in Shediac, NB and she's heartily tired of all the snow.
I feel for you Maritimers. My arms ache just seeing all that white stuff on TV.

Ian, that snow removal is NOT free! The cost is included in the price of your rent. It got real cold here last night, down to 50 degrees f in the Florida Keys, (damned global warming.). Most of the homes, including this one, do not have any form of heat, so I had to snuggle up tight with Carol last night to keep warm.

Gary, considering my rent, which is $354/month, includes all utilities (heat, lights, water etc.), and all maintenance (fix/repair/replace), which includes all appliances (stove, fridge, fans, baseboard heaters) as well as snow removal, it certainly gets pretty close to free...in any case, I'm not complaining.
All I pay for is my Internet and basic Telephone service. Parking is also included in the rent.
My apartment is the perfect size for me...bright and airy, and big enough not to feel cramped, yet small enough to easily keep clean and look after...plus, I have great neighbors in the building, two of which are retired gourmet chefs who aren't above trying out some fancy dishes on us other bachelors.
Big snow on the way, with flash freeze warning issued for tonight. It's blizzard conditions right now.
Good day to be inside, nice and warm, with lots to do...I'm going to boot up the Tyros4 and have some fun with that great new Superstition style, as well as tidy up a few I just finished editing.

Ian, for $354 a month, you couldn't rent a room on my boat down here.
I just walked outside to check the temperature while wearing a short sleeved shirt and jeans. Guess I'll take a bike ride and get some exercise. This is where I'm stayin till March 18, then headed back to the frozen wilds of Maryland.
Cheers,
Gary

Not to keep this thread off track, BUT, considering the long range forecast for more snow this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, AND next Saturday, this is where I'll probably be until mid - MAY !!!
upstairs deck and lower level patio - pics taken today -

Freezing rain here now, on top of 20 cm of snow....plus, more snow expected along with a fast freeze...should make things interesting...especially driving.
I can see the Atlantic ocean from the back patio on my building, and the sea ice is blocked in tight and right out to the horizon.
Nice and warm inside...just making some hot chocolate and preparing to work on some tunes.
So Tony, you guys aren't doing any better...colder than a well digger's arse out your way.
It's that windy here, I looked out the window and saw the same seagull trying to fly by three times.

I hope it works for you. Maybe Ron might be the guy to ask about that double time jazz style, like the Yamaha one I sent you? He has great resources.
Another way to go is to take a similar style and overdub some lines from the original. While fooling around with the BK7m, I discovered that one of the styles (6_8 Ballad1) reminded me of an old James Brown tune, IT'S A MAN'S WORLD (obviously written before Political Correctness ). Most of the background is the BK7m style (drums, bass, piano, background organ) with the other parts (strings, horns) overdubbed using Fantom G7, Background vocals near end from Roland VP770, and melody (I can't sing - I could if I had Donny's voice.....and my soul )on the KeyB organ. Not exactly like the original but I think it comes pretty close. If you've got a BK7m or BK9, try it.

Well, I downloaded the style, then downloaded the chords and lyrics, put everything in the keyboard, went through the song a couple times, and decided that NAH - not for me or my audiences, even the younger ones. Good job on the style and kudos to the person that did the style creation job.

There are lots of songs a half century old that are still very popular with audiences of all ages. Those are the songs that keep me performing every day.
Cheers,

Just got around to watching the Stevie Wonder Tribute show which I recorded. Great show, great music, great talent. Great renditions of most of Stevie's greatest hits. Beyoncé was fabulous (and I'm not really a super fan), especially re-creating Stevie's first hit, 'Fingertips'. Don't know if they'll rebroadcast it but if you missed it and get another chance to see it, you'll be in for a musical treat.

chas ... unfortunately, I only got to see the last half or so ...great talent, great music ...
BTW ... I remember hearing in a recording of "Fingertips" that when Stevie started to take an encore solo, some band member was asking "What key, what key" ... I found this on the I'net :
"The original bass player had already left the stage and Joe Swift, the bass player for the Marvelettes was already on stage, when Stevie started playing again. That's him saying "What key?". That's soul music for you! :)"

I'm finding this true as well...even with the 1960's generation, of which I'm a part.
I grew up with rock and roll, big amps and loud music. Seems the folks I know from my generation will still listen to some of those old rock and roll songs but want them more subdued. And many are now interested in more 'laid back' music.
My wife and I laugh at the fact that as kids, we were forced to listen to Lawrence Welk. Now, both of us, in our 60's, enjoy listening once in a while to those songs and Lawrence Welk on PBS. By the way, good ol' Lawrence is from our part of the country.
