Specs say Sd7 weighs 33 pounds, and PA3X weighs 32.4 pounds, depending on where you look. I assure you that the Sd7 is "way" heavier than the PA3x. Maybe AJ put rocks in mine. smile

Don,
I actually weighed mine and it came in at 33.6 pounds. Pretty close. I was curious how it really compared to my Tyros 4.

Well maybe it's the length that's throwing me off. I think I'll go weigh mine after while.

So far, I have not found stability issues with the on board sounds or styles. I have converted over 6000 styles from Ketron legacy modules and keyboards and have auditioned about half of them so far. Many of these "legacy" styles were converted using software and were from Yamaha, Korg, and Roland keyboards. Using these styles I have found some that will hang up the SD7. However, If I use only the styles from Ketron products such as the Midjay I have not had any stability issues. Perhaps this is the same issue the posters talk about on the other forums. It is much like when someone posts they can't get a certain feature to work on a new keyboard you never know how they were trying to use that feature.

Not according to some forums but according to official reviews on 2 websites and in a printed magazine, the instrument sd7 has stabillity issues ... Surprisingly one of those also tested the midj pro, and that did not have any issues..

I am still pretty much convinced they are mostly the same, so if you trust your sd7 to go live on stage, it cant be that bad...

And that, boys and girls, is why I love my S-950. When I picked up a friend's T4 it felt like I was lifting the back end of Don Mason's tow vehicle for his boat. It wasn't the weight as much as it was the bulk.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Bachus,
Yes, I use it several times a week for live gigs. Actually played a gig with it today. Like I said, as long as I am using either the on-board styles or converted styles from other Ketron products there has not been any problems. I'll try to do another live gig video and post it.

One thing I have noticed though - it is easy to get ahead of the SD7 by pressing buttons to fast. It is not a problem on gigs but if you get in a hurry it could be.

Will the user also be able to access the traditional individuall parameters of a voice like ADSR and filter cuttoff?
