Just like with any other arranger, the initial excitement is starting to wear off for me. With my S950, new, EXCELLENT styles can be found almost daily. The last good thing that happened to my Audya was version 2 of the Ajamsonic upgrade & that was long, long ago.

Hence, as of late the Yamaha took the place of the Audya on all gigs. I'll even sell the Audya if I can find a good buyer for it. Pity, as the Audya has so much potential - an OUTSTANDING arranger but with limited resources...

You are probably the last person I expected to hear that from. A friend of mine who previously owned an Audya bought the SD7 a couple of weeks ago and very quickly sold it on. He now has the S950 and is delighted with it. He has had a T4 since it came out but seems to prefer the 950. What do you think are the pros and cons of the audya against the 950? Does your S950 have a hard drive or are you happy with the internal memory

I have only very good things to say about the Audya. It sounds more real than anything else out there. But what you buy is what you get.

Over at the PSRTutorial Forum & at the CreateSongStyles forum I find many, many new fantasdtic styles for the S950 almost daily, and this is what I like.

AJ changed all of this for awhile, but even that has sort of stopped for now except those new styles that he is selling.

So for now the S950 has all of my attention. It keeps on being "new" for me.

I cant believe the title of this thread is coming from you either... But before you decide to off load the Audya, just give it a good dust off and store it well my friend, for after a few months or so after your new ventures with the PsrS950, you might return to Audya and will realised how much youve missed The Audya Sound and how unique it is.
I have multiple keyboards as you know and upon rotation, everytime its Audyas turn, by gee its always so live and refreshing, I refer to it as the "acoustic arranger" -:))
Something as simple as singing/playing over one of the unplugged styles with the live strum guitars is pretty hard to beat...

Hi guys,

Okay, so won't get rid of it. I have nothing bad to say about it apart from what you buy is what you get. And I uploaded many thousands of converted styles for it, so I did my share.

Just today I downloaded the most stunning new styles for my Yamaha - and they keep on getting better. They need no tweaking, they work as is. Wish I could say the same for the Audya...

We have a one go three hour country Gig this weekend. I easily found ample excellent country styles for the Yamaha to do this. And they all amaze me, they are just THAT good.

Imagine if I had to prepare something similar on the Audya... For now I'm just into my S950. All I miss are those stunning human voices of the Tyros 5, although all of those styles play on my S950 too.

His ( steel ) guitar technique is fine.

Even though he´s playing most time "single fingered" with his left hand. ( But in some songs he shows that he ca do it with all fingers too )

But the drum and accord-section is... terrible ( especially in regard to an Audya )

I have tried unsuccessfully to replace My KETRON keyboards with Tyros 1 and 3, Korg PA1x, 2x for the past 10 years or so, I have Audya5 for several years now, frustration with lack of styles , but found myself keep coming back to KETRON sines ms50' ms100, X1, sd1pro, now audya5 because of the real live band sound. Another thing is that I play with a guitarist, and only KETRON that I'd find cut thru and remain presence in my band outing with guitarist. Love Tyros 3 sounds awesome by itself, but almost lost with the guitarist playing. I have also Korg pa900, but for styles sound, it's Audra.

I have been in the same situation as Henni many times. I love digging into a new arranger and getting it ready for gigging. This holds me for a while until the novelty wears off and I think of what I like about my other four arrangers.

I have an Audya 76,Yamaha S910, Roland BK-9, and Technics KN7000. Each has it's strong points and all are more than capable of doing any job I have.

I have come back to my AJAMsonic Audya recently, with renewed fervor. Like it was mentioned, it is like coming back to an old friend. I, like Henni, am never satisfied. I am always tweaking or adding material.

The Audya is the best all around keyboard I have, and I know I am nowhere close to really knowing it and making it my own.

The fun isn't in reaching your destination, but the jouney along the way.
