Just a Tip:...Here's something I do with all my KB's if needed, eg: SD7....use some WHITEOUT to mark the gain Pod adjustment so you know where it's set if it moves, I like it at 12oclock.
Otherwise there is no markings.
I do this on some KB's Master Vol also....

Dnj; "They have to be converted to SD7 format...easily done right in the KB.It should ask you do you want to convert...click yes and thats it.
Ive done many like this also."

Anyone know if this is also possible with the Midjay Pro?

Jerry I don't know for certain at this point but I would assume being the MidJay pro is just like the SD7,....converting styles to .KST format to be used with the both units should be a feature in the MJpro also as I did with no problem.

For just talking or making announcements, on the table is fine, because there is no need for sub-woofer sounds or frequencies. For any type of music, though, the floor with extensions is the only way to go.

I agree with Gary,....SUBs should be on the floor as the
lower frequencies travel the floor. With Bose compact the highs could get trapped in the sub cabinet with 'no breathing room" not being extended also to cover the room,....
just my opinion. But heck let's get back to the SD7 !! headphone

The guy at Bose told me that the only purpose of the extensions was to get the sound at ear level for the audience. Since I set up on a stage most of the time, I just use one extension and it works out great.
I forgot the extensions one time and set the speakers on a table like Deane and it still sounded fine to me.
Sometimes wooden bandstands cause too much low end rumble!

Wooden stages, or bandstands, especially those that are just a few feet off the floor and open at the front end, tend to over-amplify the bottom end, and this I have experienced on more than a few occasions. However, if the stage, or bandstand, is fully enclosed, the problem is eliminated, at least the vast majority of the problem. I had one place where I performed on an open front stage about 4 feet above the floor and the bass boomed. I moved everything to floor level and the problem was immediately resolved.

As for the extensions, when I talked with Bose about them they told me that the extensions provided a physical separation of the low and high frequency sounds, and that this, in turn, improved the mid range sounds. I've tried it with every configuration and came to the conclusion to let Carol decide which sounded best. She, and two other ladies, agreed that the vocals sounded much crisper and the mid range sounds improved by a fair amount when both extensions were used. I trust hers, and most women's hearing much more than any guy's. After all these years, I think that woman can hear a mouse peeing on cotton at the length of a football field away. wink

Use whatever configuration you wish, but mine is the correct one! smile smile smile

Good luck,

Gary cool

No videos that I know of were taken,....just some pictures.
We were too busy learning & listening about the great KETRON products AJ was demonstrating at the workshop.
Some people there in attendance were not SZ'ers also who might have took some videos.
