That's because we are really OLD guys. This technology has to be good for the future development of arrangers though. There are just so many ways to play Fly Me To The Moon, and we already have them!

Wonder what Yamaha would say if, and when, I order the S970---to leave-off those DJ features and replace it with more traditional styles and voices? Probably laugh me out of the room. Then, I say, but double or triple my price! My point is----I’d pay more for an arranger to get more of what I want, need, and can use, and less of the stuff that’s not appealing (to me).

Yamaha should let EVERY factory styles be deleted or removed just like Korg if that's how the player wants to set up their arranger kb styles library on the KB allowing more RAM space for the styles they like...

As an older person I agree with Dnj. I do like what the Tyros 5 gives us as styles. The drums are fine with me and are as realistic as most keyboards. The thrill of any better drums are soon forgotten. The sounds of Yamaha are still the ones to beat. Lloyd

Once at a catering house we were playing in a young musician made this statement: “I really can’t stand the drum beats you guys use -- Um Pa Um Pa. Nothing ever changes, it’s boring”. Hmmmmm!
I have been told: There is a new age present and our youth must rebel, it’s the only way they will ever learn about themselves. (Who they are)
