Thanx everyone,....
But let's NOT let this thread go off course and keep it on the Ketron SD7 as intended. We all play differently and my decision was a hard one as stated in my post above. And NO I won't be considering the S970,.....IMO Yamaha dropped the ball in so many ways but that's for another thread. So lets carry on and enjoy what we play ok?

Ciao

Donny, my man, you never cease to amaze me !! smile
As it happens I have just ordered a Ketron SD7 which should arrive after my hols in the UK, early August.
So you can send me your leftovers....... smile smile
And, needless to say, goodluck with the KORG, you know.... that I know.....Korg is okay !
In time I hope I can offer folks hear some of my efforts on the Ketron SD7 but I won't be rushed. As it is, Don has been covering that area with great enthusiasm and craftsmenship.

regards,
John

John,
that is great news! We don't play the same kind of music but I will certainly share my setups with you. What I like most about my SD& how simple and easy it is to make changes to both styles and sounds. I never did much of that before.

thanks guys and thank you Donny for your email smile

It remains to be seen though whether I have taken the right decision , only time will tell. But as it was a choice between the Korg PA900 and the SD7 I thought I would opt for a change , also to get a musical challenge. As you know I don't gig and at home I have time galore to experiment with settings and programming as you Korg guys are amply aware of. I had the PA900 at home for a week but though a great machine I found it too little a departure from the much esteemed PA800 that I have now owned for over four years and apart from that I was given an SD7 offer pretty hard to resist. But like I said I won't have it until mid August so I probably won't be doing any significant recording with it until well into the fall.
Anyhow I am obviously looking forward to it and will share my musical exploits with you guys here, no doubt about it !

Regards,
John

I am on the edge of buying a Ketron SD 7 but I wish more of you owners would comment on how you like the Ketron and some hints
on operating it. Please give us some input on the sounds and
operating of the SD 7. Thanks in advance. Lloyd
