What happened ...so soon?

I never really intended to keep it. I had credit that I had to use in exchange for equipment that I wasn't able to sell. Thought I'd have a better chance of selling this.

If no one is interested, no problem, I'll keep it.

That S750 is an awesome machine, and really puts out some great sounds.

To my ears, the S750 is every bit the board that the S950 is. If it had VH, I wouldn't consider selling. If there was a simple way to add vocal harmony to the S750, I wouldn't consider selling.

Right now I'm doing 4 to 6 solo gigs a month using my Tyros4. The Tyros. is wonderful for live gigs...what a great sound and love the sliders..so easy...but a bit more to lug around. I did go to a basic 76 key Gator gig bag for the Tyros and got the weight down to under 40lbs. That and the use of the rock and roller cart(wow, was that he best move I've made in a few years), has made gigging with the Tyros a lot easier.

It would be nice to have the option to take the PSR to a solo gig once in a while...but without vocal harmony, I can't use the S750 for the solo gigs.

We do use the S750 often when my wife and I perform and it sounds every bit as good as our S950 did. And when performing with my wife, we don't use the VH function.

I really disliked Yamaha's VH2 so I purchased the 750 instead and stuck with my Digitech Vocalist 4 external harmonizer. I use this setup for my original recordings and when out performing. Here's what the combination sounds like. I could never get that sound quality with VH2.

What I can't seem to wrap my head around is how the external VH is hooked into the S750?

Essentially, you will connect the 9-9in MIDI output connector of the keyboard to the 9-pin MIDI input of the vocal processor. The audio output of the vocal processor will connect either to the auxiliary, audio input of the keyboard (if the S-750 has one) or directly to any audio input of your PA system. Then it's just a matter of setting up the midi channel to control the system, which I believe is Keyboard and Style and channel 3, but I'm not positive about this part on the S-750.

It will go out this afternoon, along with an instruction manual.
