Donny, why don't you just convert some of the Yamaha styles? Most are really pretty good, though I've never tried converting them to Korg format.

Good luck,

Gary cool

No offence.I suspect you will go back to Yamaha due to lack of styles/fill issues in Korg. That's what happened to most US/UK arranger players who play styles all the time. Not talking about SMF/ MP3 players.
Lack of style support/ style variety and poor conversions are the reasons.
Korg has along way to go( style support) in western market. They are better for Mid East/ euro/ Balkans like Ketron.

Gary Yamaha to Korg conversions are a TOTAL disaster, frown ....
But I found my EMC style-works program and the Ketron & Roland G70 style conversions seem to convert really well eek ....with just a few tweaks they can be made to sound super!! keys

Hi Donny, may I ask what songs you do in the merengue style? Just curious...

Donny, I know it's a whole different dance, but the Brazilian Samba works great for Quando, Quando at about 101-102
The Disco'Latin Samba works terrific to, as a generic substitute. I know you have serious, fussy ballroom dancers, so it's understandable why you need a more specific style, but try those 2 out - fun..

Dave I have been using the Disco Samba 3rd var for a long time on all my Korg arrangers,....it's probably the only style that will work for my needs so far as a Merengue. Thanx
