Ed, usually the default is echo not reverb, but you are right, it is at 40, way too high. Gary

. Judging by the demo only, the PSR-S770 sounds fantastic. Much better than the previous PSR. The drums, in particular, sound very realistic and live. I think the overall sound is an improvement. I thought I might have to either get a Korg PA900, or a Roland BK-9 to get better drums and a more live feel, but not any more. Of course, like you, Donny, I will have to try it first. If the PSR-S770 sounds that good, then the PSR-S970 will probably sound even better. I'm leaning towards the 970 for now, because of the extra sounds, styles extra goodies.

Mike, just another great example of how wonderful an arranger keyboard can sound in the hands of a highly skilled player. Lets be honest, any keyboard sounds only as good as the person that's playing it, and as long as that person has taken the time to explore all of the options offered by the operating system. Without that knowledge and skill, none of them sound very professional. Now, if I were not headed rapidly toward retirement, I would seriously consider a new S-970, but that ain't gonna happen, at least not for the foreseeable future. I'll stick with my trusty S-950, which does all that and then some. You're welcome, Gary! I agree that it's the player that makes the difference, but if a player can make a so-so keyboard sound good, imagine how he or she can make a great keyboard sound. Thanks for the links, Mike, Gary
