many years ago when i first got my Roland G70 I remember firing it up..picking a style and trying this song in my own way just to see what it sounded like instrumentally mistakes and all..I no longer have a G70 but many of the editing features in this amazing arranger KB I miss alot compared to what is out today.

The only weakness in this performance was the sound of the right hand acoustic guitar . Everything else was great . Even the sax solo was pretty good even compared to today's supernatural /Super articulated voices .
Makes me wonder what you guys are trying to achieve by "upgrading " every time a new board comes out ?

Like I said I was about 5 minutes into the G70 out of the box when I recorded it. To be honest the weight & size was a big factor in & out all day for my needs. But editing on the G70 to this day is unsurpassed with serious function and ease of use..I wish they continued it and listened to the players needs and released a lighter 61 & 76 version updated for todays technology...... who knows maybe they will?

I hear you concerning the weight . My pa1x is no feather weight but I have to balance that against the nearly ten years worth of familiarity I have with it and the literally hundreds of songs and styles I have composed , arranged and created . Each time I hear a new board I keep asking myself what would I gain against what I might lose ?
G70 was a great (and still is) arranger keyboard, that only got better with the updates from Roland.. Its allways good having fond memmories of the past...
Which got me wondering Donny, wondering what arranger is in your future? I am not surprised to see you like this after you left your trusted S950 behind..
When did younplay a T5 for the last time?

bachus.....I love the S950 it does what I need it to do for my needs at this time,......yes I have tried many others but Yamaha for now is my choice in arrangers,.......I am very sure the Tyros 5 is even more & no doubt the best sounding arranger KB on the market right now, But, although I know it sounds freaking amazing the fact that it's too big, no speakers, and is just is too much KB for my needs on stage for everyday gigging. But some day if I ever stop performing I would definitely buy a TYROS ???? for home use.
