Hi Deane,

Not too long ago I only did instrumentals music. Little by little I started adding vocals to my OMB act. I'm now able to do gigs that before I couldn't. I am sure your audience and AD will absolutely love your vocals!

Montuoman,
You are right. I have run across ADs who will not hire anyone who does not
sing. I don't mind giving it a try.

Deane - by all means keep the singing going on! Glad you are taking the plunge as vocals really spice things up. Sounds like you are well on your way! I haven't ventured there yet and commend you for the work you have done! Keep up the good work!

For a guy who just got started you're awfully close to where you want to be. As Gary said, the stage you are at now is quite acceptable to your audiences.

God Bless,
Don

Also try "memorizing the songs and lyrics" so you can give full freestyle eye contact and a better stage presence to your audiences and you can generate that performer to audience to performer battery charge back & forth,.....it all makes makes for a better show.

I know you can do it for sure

good luck!

I wish I could remember all the lyrics to all the songs I perform, which is nearly 4,000 songs. Most of the time, the lyrics are in my head, but there are times when I need those lyrics, sometimes with the chord changes. That's why I purchased that small laptop that sits upon my custom console. It's small enough to non-intrusive, the audience really doesn't notice it at all, and it keeps screw-ups to a minimum.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Gary, you make me nervous looking at that water jug (it IS water, right?) perched up there.

It's a tip jug - no water near the keyboard.
