brickboo Senior Member Registered: 02/04/01 Posts: 2071 Loc: Fruita, Colorado, USA	Why are there so many PA 900's used for sale on eBay? Also why are they cheaper than the used PA 800's for the most part? Didn't I read comments that it was better than the PA 800? Or, am I dreaming that? Thanks for all comments. Incidentally this is the first time in years that I was automatically logged in when I came to the Zone. Yes I had to log in everytime for years. _________________________ I'm not prejudiced, I hate everybody!! Ha ha! My Sister-In-Law had this tee shirt. She was a riot!!!

Love mine and would have to think hard before selling it. Considering the PA900 has most of the sounds and styles of the big brother PA3X and speakers to boot, it's a nice board to have.... Would it be a wild guess that folks might be selling off PA900's to jump to S970....? I decided to put my yammie on ebay and the place was a flood with the PRSs950 at stupid prices and not a PA900 in sight for me to buy used so I had to go for a new 900 I eventually sold my yammie but not on ebay

The Pa800 falls into the same category as the Technics Kn7000; Age and no further support. I liked the Pa800 better, more quality, the Pa900 is by far friendlier, and not as heavy. Korg could not have produced a keyboard for $1,000 less and kept the same quality, they had to cut somewhere. I believe there no contest here, the Pa800 is on its way out. It was a great keyboard; it was Korg�s flagship model, but age, no support, weight, and a less friendly OS makes the choice an easy one. IMHO, John C.

Currently the only thing a pa800 has over Pa900 when it comes to quallity is better build quallity, but for soud. Someone told me the specs say different but I know what I was hearing. I feel that people do not all hear the same; especially as they get older. So what I heard is what I based my opinion on. The key feel is without doubt better on the Pa800. The fill-ins and break would repeat until stopped forming a nice grove. This is not on the Pa900. Some sliders have been turned to nobs. Is that bad? I guess that�s opinion. In My Humble Opinion, John C.

abacus Senior Member Registered: 07/21/05 Posts: 5415 Loc: English Riviera, UK	It is seldom worth upgrading to the next generation of instrument (Unless there is a problem with what you have) as the differences are usually not that great. (Certainly not worth the money you lose trading up) Best to go for a 2nd generation keyboard (PA800 to whatever replaces the PA900) as the differences are than usually quite marked and well worth the trade in price. vangelis Member Registered: 12/31/03 Posts: 435 Loc: FLORIDA	Korg cut a few corners when making the PA900,comparing to the Pa800,no sampler,no individual outs,smaller casing which means less weight,less powerful amplification and bass on the speakers, on the positive side, bigger screen,lighter,compatible with pa3x sounds,but for me not enough to get a pa900,196 megs on sampler is stupid and should of been 256 megs, I would go to a PA3x instead. In fact I wish the Break didn't do it. Too often I hit it twice because I want two breaks in a row, but then it keeps repeating until I hit another button or the Break button again. One thing they took away on the PA900 was the dedicated Fill buttons too. _________________________ DonM

Don I have been turning the Pa900 into Big Band, Latin, and some old stuff; added many new styles. Thanks to you my latest adventure is learning and adding country music, the styles that you put in were great. I did make an ALL SAVE before adding doing any work. Let me know what you need, John C.

Tyrosman5 Unregistered	Sometimes a model that you played for a long time sounds better to your ears than listening to a newer model due to the fact that your ears got "used" to hearing that certain sound and so it identifies that sound to be better. Just saying Lloyd
